Before your Hair Appointment

  • A: Currently the best way to book is to contact us here or text Xara at 0466 210 216

I do not answer my phone during client appointments so it is always better to text. You’ll find my details on the contact page.

  • A: Please share what dates and times you have available.

My weekday appointments usually book out up to two weeks in advance, and my evening and Saturday appointments up to four weeks in advance, so it is always best to share your available dates.

Please also share your name and a brief description of your hair goals!

  • A: Yes please! For colour, I find I get the best results on clean, dry hair. The products I use are very gentle on the hair so won't be able to break through too much dry shampoo.

For cuts, absolutely as I prefer to cut on dry hair the way it's worn in your daily life!

  • A: Absolutely! We will review them together and I will translate what it is that you are looking for, explain process, maintenance, and most importantly, achievability!

  • A: I have some snacks in the salon but if it's around lunch time, please feel free to bring some food for yourself!

Do not wear your best clothes; I haven't had any mishaps with colour in my many years of hairdressing, but would prefer to keep it that way.

Your favourite earrings should definitely stay home.

Unless you are absolutely unable to attend without your kids, I would prefer if they stayed home too. Mainly because they won't be 100% supervised while we are working on your hair, and due to my pricing being hourly, they may even extend your appointment time and cost you more!

  • A: We are located on King Street, Manly Vale, 2093. Please check your messages/booking confirmation for the street number as we do not disclose this on this website or on Google!

  • A: No worries at all. Please just text me to let me know as soon as you know. If it's more than 15 minutes we may have to reschedule your appointment.

  • A: Not a problem! Please just text me as soon as you know.

  • A: No problem, we love to see it!

At your Hair Appointment

  • A: I will be asking about any scalp concerns, and past appointments that you loved or hated. We’ll talk about your lifestyle in relation to your hair and styling needs, and assessing looks based on your ongoing hair appointment preferences.

If there is anything that you don't want to share with me that is 100% fine, please let me know and we will accomodate you as needed.

  • A: I have a wide range of products in the salon and the ability to access most professional hair products if you have another preference.

I also regularly test supermarket and chemist products on myself and my family members to find more budget-friendly options and will recommend anything I think is suited to your various needs.

  • A: Absolutely! You are welcome to pop past the salon at a pre-arranged time or we can talk on the phone about your specific hair needs. Just mention this in your booking request!

  • A: I am always playing with products and changing up what I use. I mainly use Jeval and Malibu C, with Paul Mitchell and Schwarzkopf as complimentary products. I use Dyson heat styling tools and k18 as my bond builder.

  • A: If you have had a previous reaction to hair colour or are concerned about having colour done, please let me know. I am more than happy to do an allergy test on you, your safety is my priority.

  • A: Cash, card and bank transfer are all available to pay for your hair appointment at Bombshell Hair Design.

After your Hair Appointment

  • A: If you are used to pre-booking your next appointment straight after your appointment, please let me know.

I usually work on a reminder system; I will send you a message to remind you that you're coming up to 6 weeks post-appointment around the 4-6 week mark and you can book from there.

This way we can work around your ever-changing and busy schedule while making sure your hair keeps looking fabulous!

Please keep in mind, it usually takes two weeks to get a weekday appointment and four weeks for an evening or Saturday appointment.

  • A: I will absolutely talk to you about this during your appointment. I will gauge what kind of information is relevant to you; I am not in the business of pushing product.

You are also encouraged to ask any questions on your mind or anything you've wanted to ask a hairdresser before. I love talking about hair so no question too silly or too complex!

  • A: It truly depends on your hair. I will let you know what I think about your hair type and what colour type would be the best to keep your hair looking good for months after your appointment.

Other Questions

  • A: It varies. We are open Tues-Thurs during school hours and Tues and Wed after school and Saturdays all day. But since Bombshell Hair Design is appointment only, opening times may vary and we may open at an irregular time to cater to demand.

Please let us know what works best for you and we will try to cater to your schedule!

  • A: We understand that sometimes your day doesn’t work our exactly as planned!

If you are feeling unwell or cannot make your appointment please strive to let me know via text +48 hours prior to your appointment, or as soon as you know.

If you cancel three times within the 48 hours prior to your weekday appointment, or cancel twice within the 48 hours prior to your Saturday or evening appointment, you will be required to provide a deposit prior to your next scheduled appointment.

That said, I completely understand that things come up. It's more about respecting the time of myself and my wonderful clients. So far, I haven't ever had a client who has required this system! You are all amazing!

  • A: I will usually send you a text after two weeks of your appointment just to check in on your cut and colour. You are encouraged to be as truthful as possible in your feedback. I completely understand that sometimes it's not quite right and am more than happy to attend to any reasonable requests for adjustments.

I guarantee my work within four weeks of your appointment. If there is no need for adjustments but there is anything you've noticed or need to share, please do - This is a relationship and getting to know your hair means communicating with your stylist!

  • A: I will absolutely discuss this with you at your appointment. The main things I look at are your current hair condition, natural texture, current colour, your hair history, your budget and your availability. I take all of these things into consideration when making any recommendations.

I will always do what is best for you and your hair.

  • Yes! we are a LGBTQ-Friendly business and Transgender safe space.

We want you to feel safe and at peace at Bombshell Hair Design so please bring your authentic self.

  • A: I do! I will usually put the amount onto an account at the salon, similar to a tab. I can also source cards for gifts if need be, please let me know!

  • A: I don't, but I do an hourly rate so that I am accessible to everyone.

My lowest rate for a haircut is a budget-friendly $30. It is absolutely your choice how much or how little money you'd like to spend depending on what you're wanting to have done.
